The spirit of Juniper reminds us of the significance of creating healthy boundaries and standing our ground. From a rooted place, Junipers “claim” the land they stand on. Their dense structure and tenacity makes them natural wind barriers during inclement weather. Many Native American tribes used the smoke of burning juniper for smudging in order to create sacred ceremonial space defining boundaries and purifying the air.

​The juniper spirit is one of protector. Resilient childlike branches are hard with sharp needle-like leaves that drop to the ground, creating thick beds. Adult branches are softer and generative with overlapping and supportive scale-like leaves . 

Juniper Therapy creates space to define our boundaries as we shift from struggling to acceptance. The juniper spirit urges us to use discipline and discernment when making our own personal boundaries. Creating boundaries is a conscious, yet invisible process.
